Objective: To train students in the various fields and disciplines of Archival Studies viz. Archives Management, Public Records Management, Conservation, Reprography, Private Archives and Information communication technology.
Admission Notice: July –August, published in “Employment News” and is also made available on National Archives of India’s website.
Duration: One Year
Frequency: Once in a year
Eligibility: Master Degree in any stream with 50% marks.
Age: Below 30 years for private candidates and below 50 years for sponsored candidates on the date of closing of application forms.
Seats: 30 seats - 20 for private candidates and 10 for sponsored candidates.
Selection process: For the Private Candidates admission is purely on the merit based upon the cumulative marks obtained in screening test followed by the interview.
The sponsored candidates are admitted purely on the basis of sponsorship of the employer/ department and recommendation of the Selection Committee.
Application Fee: Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) for Indian and SAARC candidates and US$ 40/- for foreign candidates.
Course Fee: Rs.1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) for Indian and SAARC candidates and US$ 500/- for foreign candidates.
Scholarship: For private candidates 10 scholarships (on merit basis) @ Rs.3000/- per month and for sponsored candidates, six stipends @ Rs.1500/- per month.
Medium of Instruction: English/Hindi.
Mode of Course: offline; Lectures and Practicals.
Reservation: As per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and Divayang candidates.
